Description
This is a challenging and fulfilling entry-level position for recent graduates. As our Consultant you will be exposed to a variety of technologies and responsibilities, with potential for growth and advancement. You will play key roles on cross-functional teams on a rotational basis, roles that are specially geared towards expanding your skill set and in gaining valuable, applicable, and marketable experience. You will be working with our Services team in a client-facing technical consulting role. You will also be working with our innovative Product Development Group, learning all the nuts and bolts of our solution and the latest technologies, through roles in product support and/or quality assurance.Scope of Role

Job Responsibilities
- Consulting
- Build and test Clarity templates and reports based on specifications and imbed required functionality
- Assist in installing and configuring Clarity 6
- Assist with building relational and OLAP databases, and test calculations
- Extract, transform and load data in both OLAP and relational databases
- Verify data loaded into OLAP and relational databases
- Learn advanced Clarity skills, OLAP, relational and ETL skills
- Document and communicate project deliverables regularly to the Project Team Lead
- Identify and notify the Project Team Lead about opportunities for new revenue generation at the client
- Quality Assurance
- Participate in all phases of the software cycle including developing test strategies, tracking the test results, and tracking QA methodologies.
- Perform and audit code reviews of real time embedded software.
- Oversee testing and debugging of code.
- Work with developers and identify problems found in the code.
- Validate existing processes against the objectives of the quality plan.
- Identify matrices and measurements for all aspects of the software QA development cycle.
- Product Support
- Resolve customer issues in a timely and responsive manner
- Escalate customer issues that are unresolved to the Project Team Lead
- Build and foster strong client relationships during the implementation; gaining credibility and trust
Qualifications
- Post secondary education in Computer Science/Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in software development, preferably using .NET technology
- Knowledge and experience in building relational databases; including the ability to populate and extract data and create stored procedures
- Ability to write basic programming code to facilitate calculations and reporting
- Expertise with C, C#, C++, HTML, XML, XSL, ASP, COM+, Java Script, and VB Script
- Ability to create complex formulas, macros and sophisticated formatting in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to effectively write correspondence, verbally communicate, and actively listen
- Comfortable in presenting ideas in group sessions
- Strong problem solving ability
Other Requirements
- Willingness and legal ability (required documentation) to immediately travel and work across Canada and the United States (at least 30% of time)
