Job Profile: Financial Consolidations Consultant

Description
Clarity Systems, a global leader in providing effective Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solutions, is currently looking for a Financial Consolidations Consultant to join our team in providing clients with efficient and innovative solutions to meet their business needs.
The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in this field and possess the ability to understand our client’s needs. Applicants should have a strong understanding of CPM scenarios coupled with an excellent business acumen.
Duties:
- Be a subject matter expert in financial consolidations, financial close process, and financial statement preparation
- Implement Clarity Consolidations and Clarity FSR
- Provide financial consolidation expertise to the sales team during the sales cycle
- Work with Clarity Systems’ Senior Managers on compilation and presentation of Custom management reporting, Financial Analysis, and External Reporting
- Work with stakeholders and project teams to prioritize collected requirements
- Provide financial consolidation leadership and direction to developers and/or the project team
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education in business or accounting disciplines or related experience
- CA, CMA or CGA designation
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preparing financial consolidations, conducting the financial close process and preparing financial statements
- Previous experience in implementing financial consolidation, budgeting, and ERP systems
- Knowledge of Canadian and US accounting standards
- Superior analytical skills
- Experience in solution selling disciplines
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment and be self-directed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness and legal ability (required documentation) to immediately travel and work across Canada and the United States (approximately 30% yearly)
Additional Qualifications (Would be considered a definite asset):
- A sound understanding of OLAP building concepts, RDBMS, Hyperion Essbase or Microsoft Analysis Services, and implementation processes
- Strong sales aptitude with the ability to lead in-depth discussions, articulating the business value of our product and technology for the Performance Management space
- Knowledge in implementing financial consolidation software such as Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Financial Management, Business Objects Finance (Cartesis) and Cognos Controller
