Job Profile: Product Manager-Balance Scorecard

Scope of Role
The Product Manager will take a leadership role in the growth of the company through the development of an integrated balance scorecard solution within the Clarity 6 platform. This individual will define the product vision and create the roadmap for future releases and enhancements. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who possesses a unique blend of creativity, performance management knowledge and technical expertise.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop the product vision and roadmap for the balance scorecard solution within the Clarity 6 platform from concept design through product development and launch
- Collaborate with existing and potential customers to determine market trends in performance management and define key features/functionalities for future releases
- Assess leading performance management and business intelligence software vendors product capabilities and future enhancement/releases
- Investigate leading technologies and trends that may be integrated within our product
- Translate the product roadmap into software development plans that will be executed by our Product Development Group
- Plan, manage and communicate product progress and release activities
- Educate both internal and external stakeholders of the business benefits and product architecture and how it complements the existing platform and product offerings
- Assist the sales and pre-sales teams in selling the technology stack to prospects
- Coordinate with Marketing to define the go-to-market strategy and determine the target customer profile
- Partner with Customer Support and Professional Services for customer feedback/communication, technical specifications, and upgrades/updates schedules
- Speak and represent Clarity Systems on our product capabilities and architecture at conferences, industry events and technology analysts
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years experience in performance management and balance scorecard methodology
- Proven knowledge and practical experience with product development, market requirements, product launches, competitive analyses, and technology assessment
- Minimum 4 years software experience, preferably in corporate performance management
- University degree in Computer Science, Business or equivalent
- Strong communication skills and ability to work and collaborate with cross functional groups to incorporate feedback into the product development process
- Ability to communicate and translate high level requirements into detailed product specifications
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; the ability to communicate both internally and to demonstrate leadership externally to stakeholders
- Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills
- Minimum 2 years technical hands-on experience with Clarity 6 or other BI products (PowerPlay and Impromptu/IWR) and Cognos 8 BI

- Willingness and ability to immediately travel and work across North America and Europe as required (up to 20% of the time)
