Scope of Role
The Product Manager is responsible for the technological development of the Clarity 6 platform and its future releases. This includes our flagship reporting and planning product (Clarity Server), a dashboard, scorecard and data visualization product (Clarity Visualizer), a financial consolidations product (Clarity Consolidations), a metadata management product (Clarity Cube Manager), an external reporting product (Clarity FSR) and any new products created and sold by Clarity Systems. It is likely that the incumbent would focus on 1 or 2 of these products. The incumbent would define the product vision and roadmap and is challenged with pushing our product technically and functionally to the forefront of the performance management software marketplace. The Product Manager stays attuned to our customers’ requirements and is constantly investigating our competitors’ product improvements.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop the technological vision and roadmap for Clarity 6 and subsequent versions and future products
- Define the features and functions that will be implemented in the next point and integer releases
- Meet with, understand and translate customer enhancement requests into improvements to our product
- Translate the product roadmap into software development plans that will be executed by our Product Development Group
- Keep up-to-date on our competitors’ product capabilities and expected enhancements
- Investigate leading technologies and trends that may be integrated within our product
- Educate both internal and external stakeholders on the superiority of our product architecture and the features and functions of future releases
- Speak and represent the company concerning our product capabilities and architecture at conferences, industry events and in front of technology analysts
- Assist the sales and pre-sales teams in selling the technology stack to prospects
Qualifications and Competencies – Must Have
- Expert knowledge of Clarity 6
- Expert knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional databases
- In depth knowledge of Clarity 6 implementations
- Experience in multiple Clarity 6 implementations across a series of industries and types of applications
- The ability to translate high level requirements into detailed product specifications
- Experience and demonstrated ability in managing multiple initiatives
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; the ability to communicate both internally and to demonstrate leadership externally to stakeholders
- Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills
- Minimum 8 years business experience with proven track record of success

- Willingness and ability to immediately travel and work across North America and Europe as required (up to 20% of the time)
