Scope of Role
- Find sales opportunities for our flagship product, Clarity 6
- Sell Clarity 6 and related services within a predefined sales territory
- Demonstrate the capabilities of Clarity 6 to potential customers whether in-person or over the web
- Nurture relationships with existing and potential customers
- Complete the entire sale cycle from identification to closure
Job Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify sales opportunities by using business contacts, entering vendor selection competitions, cold calling or by other means
- Meet with prospective customers to determine their business needs in order to sell Clarity 6 and related services
- Understand the functions and features of Clarity 6 and the underlying OLAP databases to be able to comfortably demonstrate Clarity 6 to prospects and to be able to answer their questions
- Demonstrate the features and functions of Clarity 6 to prospects over the web or in person
- Work with the Pre-Sales resources to respond to a prospect’s technical questions or issues during the sales cycle
- Lead the development of proposals and responses to RFI and RFP documents
- Make presentations to a prospect’s C-level executives, business owners and project sponsors
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Close sales deals including negotiating sales agreements, support levels, education requirements (with support from Education Services), implementation timelines (with support from Professional Services), and other finalizing items
- Keep up to date with the latest features in Clarity 6
- Understand Clarity’s sales methodology
- Enhance Clarity 6 sales demonstration software
- Understand and keep up to date with competitive products and technology
Qualifications and Competencies – Must Have
- Post secondary education in Computer Science, Accounting or Business discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of proven sales experience in business intelligence, corporate performance management and/or enterprise solutions sales
- Proven sales ability
- Comfortable with presenting to and talking with C-level executives
- Ability to make persuasive presentations, demonstrate software, and actively listen effectively
- Ability to generate leads and complete the sales cycle from start to closing the deal
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer facing skills
- Strong negotiation skills

- Strong business acumen; understand the link between business need and application of technology
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment and be self-directed
- Proven track record in working with multiple initiatives and projects at the same time
- Willingness and ability to immediately travel across North America as required
